KATHMANDU: The Hetauda Milk Distribution Project is currently collecting about 20,000 liters of milk from Terai districts. According to the project, out of the collected milk, 12,000 liters is sent to Biratnagar for producing powder milk and 6,000 liters to Hetauda Milk Development Board. The project has been selling 4,000 liters of milk daily to local consumers in Birgunj of Parsa, Bharatpur and Narayangadh of Chitwan and Hetauda of Makwanpur. KATHMANDU: Two thousand 674 martyrs have been added in Nepal. The government has officially recognized 2,674 individuals as martyrs in Nepal, honoring their sacrifices in movements for national interest, democracy, and progressive change. The decision to add these names was made during a cabinet meeting held on the Poush 24 (Jan 9). These individuals, who lost their lives during various movements, armed struggles, and revolutions, have been acknowledged in the gazette as a mark of respect. With this addition, the total number of martyrs in Nepal now stands at 11,141.

Wife of rape-accused Judge Bhuwan Giri has attempted self-immolation in Kathmandu on Sunday. His wife reached the Supreme Court (SC) premises Sunday afternoon and tried self-immolation sprinkling kerosene on herself. She was rescued by the police and taken to the Bir Hospital. She has lodged a case of marital rape against Giri and has been demanding that he be kept in custody.
