KATHMANDU: Two thousand 674 martyrs have been added in Nepal.
The government has officially recognized 2,674 individuals as martyrs in Nepal, honoring their sacrifices in movements for national interest, democracy, and progressive change.
The decision to add these names was made during a cabinet meeting held on the Poush 24 (Jan 9).
These individuals, who lost their lives during various movements, armed struggles, and revolutions, have been acknowledged in the gazette as a mark of respect.
With this addition, the total number of martyrs in Nepal now stands at 11,141.
