The government announced the budget of 18 trillion 60 billion 30 million for the next financial year on Tuesday. KATHMANDU, May 28: The government has announced a budget of Rs 1.860 trillion for the upcoming fiscal year 2024/25. Presenting the annual budget for the next fiscal year on Tuesday, Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun has announced the aforementioned budget which is more than the ceiling of Rs 1.8 trillion set by the National Planning Commission. Of the total budget, Rs 1.14066 trillion (61.31%) is allocated for recurrent expenditure and Rs 352.35 billion (18.94%) for capital expenditure and Rs 367.18 billion for financial management.

KATHMANDU, May 25: The country’s outstanding public debt has reached nearly Rs 2.4 trillion. The public debt witnessed a rise of Rs 98 billion in the last 10 months of the current fiscal year alone, according to the Public Debt Management Office (PDMO).
