Kathmandu. With the government’s decision to close Tiktok in Nepal, a new debate has started on social media.

Government Spokesperson and Minister of Information and Communication Rekha Sharma informed that Tiktok is going to be closed for some time saying that various distortions have spread due to Samaj Tiktok.

Regarding this decision of the government, there are different sides in the political circles. Meanwhile, the ruling Nepali Congress General Minister Gagan Thapa has commented that the government has taken the opposite path by deciding to close Tiktok. He says that it is wrong to stop it because it will solve the deformity.

Likewise, the Tiktokers who have been active in Tiktok and are earning income in various ways have criticized the government’s decision. Model Kavita, who is active on Tiktok, says that the government’s decision to close Nepali Tiktok is completely wrong.

We do not know why the government did this. But this kind of decision is wrong”, she said.

Similarly, it is very wrong for the government to decide to sell Tiktok when the famous Tiktok Princi Khatiwada is unable to make a living because of the lack of employment.

She said, “Tiktak users are neglected and the government’s decision to do so has discouraged our efforts.”

Another artist Priyana Acharya (Munni) will show art where the audience is large. During that time, she said that she reached many viewers through Tiktok.

“Government shutting down Tiktok in this way limits our artistry, because Tiktok is used because we can reach a large audience.” Tiktok has both positive and negative sides. Acharya said that she can only filter the positive aspects and move forward.

Similarly, model Garima Sharma said that although she has emerged from Tiktok, she is neutral on the government’s decision for now. He said that while running Tik Tok, he was not biased and said that the government’s decision is right as there is a tendency to do anything for the sake of views. “Even though Tiktok has given many people an opportunity to enter the art field, recently Tiktok has become a hotbed of scandal,” she said.
