KATHMANDU : Sita Dahal, the wife of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has passed away on Wednesday. The Norvic Hospital issued a statement this morning declaring her death at 8:33 AM. Dahal had been battling Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a rare neurological disorder, along with Parkinsonism, Diabetes Mellitus-II and Hypertension. She was admitted to the Norvic Hospital after her health condition detoriated. Kathmandu: The Narayangadh-Muglin road section has been blocked due to a landslide. landslide occurred on the road falling in ward no. 5 of Ichchakamana rural municipality this morning. The road had been obstructed at the same place on Thursday as well and it was brought into operation only from 5:00 pm on Friday. KATHMANDU, June 16: Kathmandu District Court has ordered the pre-trial detention of 16 people including former ministers Balkrishna Khan and Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey in connection with the fake refugee scam. A single bench of Judge Prem Prasad Neupane ordered that two people, including Lakshmi Maharjan, be released on bail after two weeks of detention. The court has ordered to release Maharjan on bail of Rs 500,000 and Tank Kumar Gurung on Rs 1 million.

Kathmandu, 31 May: President Ram Chandra Poudel put a seal of approval to the citizenship bill that his predecessor Bidhya Bhandari had withheld assent to. The presidential approval apparently came in a hush hush manner, more as a deal between him and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, a couple of hours before his official trip to Delhi heading a 88-member delegation. KATHMANDU, May 30: The hearing on the case against cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane was once again adjourned on Tuesday. Judge Shankar Bahadur Rai of Kathmandu District Court said that the final verdict will be issued only after a decision on a petition filed by the victim for interim compensation.
