KATHMANDU: The 74th Democracy Day has been celebrated by organizing a special ceremony in Tundikhel.
Democracy Day is observed every year on this date to commemorate the momentous day that marked the end of the 104-year Jahanian Rana rule.
President Ram Chandra Paudel, Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Chief Justice Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, ministries, high-ranking employees, and others attended the function in Tundikhel.
To add to the joyous atmosphere, the Nepali Army showered flowers from a chopper holding the National Democracy Day, 2080 banner, while pigeons and colorful balloons flew from the ground.
