KATHMANDU, Nov 23: Two groups are demonstrating in the capital today. At present, the protestors have started coming out on Balkhu and Tinkune area.
Demonstrators of the youth wing of CPN-UML have come out in the Tinkune area. They have come out on the streets wearing red caps and t-shirts. Young people are seen more in that area.
On the other hand, in the Balkhu region, the protestors have been seen in small numbers for the “Saving the Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Citizen Campaign” led by Durga Prasain. Protesters are coming out gradually in that area. They are carrying a red flag.
Due to its effect, the streets of the capital now look deserted.
Kathmandu and Lalitpur administration has issued prohibitory orders in most places. Security in the valley has been tightened. There are security personnel on both sides of the road in the Balkhu and Tinkune area.
