Nepal Telecommunication Authority has written to internet service providers to stop Tiktok.

After the decision of the Council of Ministers held on Monday, the authority has already written to the internet service provider companies to close them, according to the assistant spokesperson of the authority, Achyutanand Mishra.

According to him, the headquarters has also been informed about the closure of Tiktok.

We have written to all internet service providers and told them to shut down Tiktok, we have also informed the headquarters of Tiktok. As soon as the government’s decision came, we corresponded. Tiktok will be closed within 24 hours, he said.
The government’s decision to close Tik Tok is facing widespread opposition on social media.
