KATHMANDU: On Thursday, Nepal Police apprehended two individuals suspected of murdering four family members in Mundugaun, Chhayanath Rara Municipality-6, Mugu.
The District Police Office, Mugu, is set to disclose details about the arrest in a press conference on Friday afternoon.
DSP Birendra Thapa from the District Police Office, Mugu, revealed that one of the defendants is a maternal cousin of the deceased, while the other hails from a neighboring village.
The details of the reason for murder and murder will be made public in the press conference.
The victims, 27-year-old Shreedevi Bohara, 11-year-old Manoj Bohara, seven-year-old Apsara Bohara, and eight-year-old Rahar Bohara, were tragically found dead on Oct 25 in Mundugaun.
The investigation involved collaboration between the Karnali Province Police Office, Surkhet, Mugu Police, and the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police.
