KATHMANDU: On Tuesday, Bijaya Dashami (Tika), Nepal Police will offer free bus service.
The Police Head Office informed that the police, who had previously operated a free bus service for three days, will now only operate from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tika.
As there will be less public transportation on Dashain Tika, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Kuber Kadayat, who is also the Police Spokesman, announced that two buses will be operated for the general public.
According to him, the police would run two bus routes.
Police spokesperson Kadayat informed that the bus on route number 1 will travel through Naxal, Baluwatar, Teaching Hospital, Chakrapath, Nayabuspark, Balaju, Swayambhu, Kalanki, Balkhu, Satdobato, Lagankhel, Jawalakhel, Thapathali, Maitighar, Putalisadak to Jai Nepal Hall.
According to him, bus route number 2 will reach Baluwatar via Naxal, Ratopul, Gaushala, Airport, Koteshwar, Thimi, Sallaghari, Suryavinayak, Chabahil, Sukedhara, Chakrapath, Teaching.
