Kathmandu – The main opposition party CPN-UML has interrupted the meeting of the House of Representatives.

The UML parliamentarians stood up and protested immediately after Speaker Devraj Ghimire informed them that the meeting had started after 12:00 p.m.

During the discussion on policy and program, a member of parliament interrupted the meeting by saying that during the time of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, there was corruption in the name of gold altar of Pashupatinath by offering a brass altar in the name of Pashupatinath.

Padam Giri, chief whip of UML, has warned that if the Speaker tries to proceed with the meeting without ruling on the issue, he will be surrounded.

UML parliamentary party deputy leader Subas Nemwang has said that the meeting will not proceed until this issue is resolved.
