Ayoung man of Budhiganga Rural Municipality of Morang has climbed a high tension pole complaining that the retaining wall being built on the road is of poor quality.
40-year-old Dinesh Kumar Majhi of Budhiganga Rural Municipality Ward No. 7, Dangraha is sitting on top of a transmission line pole where 132,000 volts of electricity is flowing.
Attempts are being made to bring him down. However, he is firm on his stance that he will not fall from the pole until the president and vice president of the village give their commitment to address their demands.
He alleges that the retaining wall being constructed on the road going south from Budhiganga-7 ward office is of substandard quality.
He has warned of self-immolation if his demand is given a deaf ear.
