Kathmandu. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, who is also the chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre), has assured the Nepali Congress of the presidency.

On Sunday evening, Nepali Congress leaders reached the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar. During the dialogue with the team led by Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, who reached Baluwatar, Prime Minister Prachanda assured that Congress will get the President.

A leader who reached Baluwatar quoted Prime Minister Prachanda and said, ‘National consensus should be reached on the candidate chosen by the Congress for the presidency.

Likewise, Prime Minister Prachanda said that he would do his best to maintain the current alliance and gather national consensus. “I see that it will be difficult to reach a consensus on the candidate chosen by the Congress for the presidency,” Prime Minister Prachanda further said, “However, the current alliance should not be destroyed.”

Along with the Congress, the power partner party CPN (UML) also has a strong claim for the presidency. He has been repeating his claim that he should get the presidency according to the agreement of December 10. The Maoist Center, which is leading the government, has come to the conclusion that it will end through national consensus.
