The number of Nepali students studying in the United States has increased by 5.6 percent over the prior year, totaling 11,779, according to a report. The world’s population reached 8 billion on Tuesday, according to the United Nations. In its annual World Population Prospect report released on Monday, the United Nations suggested that the global population could grow to around 8.5 billion in 2030, 9.7 billion in 2050 and 10.4 billion in 2100.
