KATHMANDU: Former minister and Nepali Congress leader Deepak Khadka has been arrested by Nepal Police’s Central Investigation Bureau (CIB).
According to police, Khadka had come under investigation after a fire broke out at his residence on September 09, 2025, during which both Nepali and foreign currencies were reportedly recovered. He also faces allegations of involvement in the misappropriation of land belonging to the Nepal Scouts.
CIB Chief AIG Manoj KC confirmed Khadka’s arrest, stating that further investigation into the case is underway.
